There is no better way to experience The National Park and Yorktown than taking a stroll with a Historian.
Following in the footsteps of citizens from the past, travel back in time to the 18th century while walking in Colonial National Historical Park. The tour begins at Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters in the Cole Digges House and continues through the grounds of Swan Tavern, down Main Street to the gardens of Gov. Thomas Nelson Jr., and on to the home and grounds of Dudley Digges. This outdoor walking tour will include at least 10 stops in Historic Yorktown to include the Monument to Victory and Alliance. Ending back at Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters, you are welcome to stay and purchase cold drinks and treats to complete your outing.
This unique, fun experience will focus on historically accurate information regarding topics relevant to the Revolutionary and Civil War eras with a focus on events specific to Yorktown and the historic buildings, the Battlefields, and influential historical figures.
