From the first settlement at Jamestown Island through the Siege of Yorktown, the English have had a tremendous influence on Yorktown. This talk will discuss the early English settlements of the 16th and 17th centuries, the royal monarchs, the British culture, politics, and the last chapter – the American Revolution against the British.
