Celebrate Women’s History Month with this talk about the Women of Yorktown.  The first prominent woman from coastal Virginia was Princess Matoaka, or Pocahontas. Just 2 years after her death in 1617 a significant number of women arrived in Virginia from England.  The arrival of English women changed everything in the new world from family life to business opportunities to preserving our country’s history.
