Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters buys only gourmet quality beans. In doing so, we've taken extreme measures to identify the roasting level that highlights the beans natural character to the fullest. Over roasting can lead to "cooking or baking" the flavor out of the bean. The darker you roast coffee beans the stronger the "roasted" flavor and the less natural character you can taste. Some beans do take to darker roasts better than others, and the following list of coffees represents our interpretation of optimum roast profiles for each bean.
With regards to ordering, shipping, and conservation. Standard shipping rates will be $5 per order. If you order more than four bags of any size coffee, Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters will ship your order for free. Why? We believe that if you purchase your months supply of coffee from us in one order, we can reduce waste and energy consumption associated with packaging material and delivery. Our large shipping box can hold six 12 ounce bags of coffee, or at least four 16 ounce bags of coffee (dark roasted coffee expands more during the roast and takes up more space in the box). Not only will you be getting freshly roasted coffee delivered to your door every month, you'll be saving money while aiding in conservation and the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay. It's a win win for everyone!
